Program Committee Update
We are just a little under six months away from the PCICS Annual International Meeting! It will be held November 14-17, 2024, at Town and Country Resort in San Diego, California. The Program Committee, led by Jill Zender, NP and Carly Scahill, MD, has been working hard over the last eighteen months to create an exciting multidisciplinary agenda with speakers from around the world. This year’s meeting will start with four separate pre-conferences focused on quality improvement, nursing, neurodevelopment, and simulation. The meeting will open with leaders in our field discussing their ideas of what the cardiac intensive care units of the future will entail and what it will take to support that vision. There are many breakout sessions focused on education, career development, business planning, and leadership.
We will also host, for the first time ever, a patient- and family-led plenary session where they will discuss their experience from the other side and provide opportunity for interaction to continue to build on the relationship and care we provide. This will be an incredible meeting unlike any other, and we are excited to share it with you in a new location. While the main focus of the meeting is to gain knowledge, we all know how valuable the networking and socialization components are for career development and growth. This new venue has many opportunities for all our attendees to gather and have fun onsite after the meeting. The planning committee is working hard to make this the most fun and engaging meeting yet!
Registration is open now, and we hope you submit your abstracts for consideration. We would love to see your work and share it with your colleagues. The agenda will be available as soon as the final details are finalized. Hope to see you all in San Diego in November!
