Administrative SIG May 2021 Update

The PCICS Administrative Special Interest Group (SIG) continues to provide a forum for networking and provide opportunities for sharing perspectives and information among administrative leadership across the PCICS community. This December, the Administrative SIG welcomed a new co-chair, Sherri Kubis, who will co-lead along with Justin Yeh, to achieve 2021 goals. Many thanks to Alexis Perri for co-leading the SIG for the past 3 years, from inception and through the challenges of the pandemic. Membership of the Administrative SIG includes nursing and medical leaders from institutions throughout the country and hopes to increase national and international membership over the next year.
Current 2021 SIG activities include development of an online journal club and literature repository, continuing bimonthly SIG forums for project development and membership communication, and leveraging PCICS’s Basecamp platform to increase networking and collaboration opportunities.
Additionally, we are working on identifying CICU/acute care administrative and program development leadership topics to develop into podcasts disseminated to the SIG members as well as all of PCICS membership. Meetings, in a virtual format, occur bimonthly. Each meeting has a reserved time for member initiated/requested discussion of hot topics representing challenges in all areas of leadership and administration in CICU/acute care cardiac units. For further information, to join the next meeting or to join the Administrative SIG, please contact Sherri Kubis (kubiss@CHOP.edu) or Justin Yeh (Justin.yeh@upmc.edu).
