Connections Committee Update November 2021

The Social Media subcommittee added several new members this year and had a strong presence during the virtual annual meeting held in September. Each session of the meeting was well represented and helped to bring some of the community and conversation we all miss dearly from in-person meetings. On Twitter, #PCICS2021 had over 480,000 impressions, 249 Tweets, and 70 participants. Thank you to our top three most influential participants, David Werho, Maryam Naim, and Ivie Esangbedo! We are looking forward to providing an increased social media presence over the next year with more opportunities for interaction.
In December, David Werho will end his time as co-chair of the Connections Committee and Ivie Esangbedo will step up to co-lead the committee with me. David and I were two of the founding members of this committee started by John Costello and Sarah Tabbutt in 2015. Over the last six years, David has put tremendous effort into initiating and improving communication with PCICS followers. He started the PCICS Podcast, developed a process to train others to edit podcasts and to allow for increased frequency of distribution, and developed the PCICS Newsletter. Thank you, David, for all of your work, and welcome to Ivie!
