DESCRIPTION:Registration Open: May 1\, 2026 – July 15\, 2025\nExam Period: August 3\, 2025 – October 5\, 2025\nLocation:  Virtual\nPrice:  Members – $205  |  Non Member – $255\nOverview \nThe PCICS Advanced Practice Provider Exam covers the content written in the PCICS Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Curriculum book. This comprehensive curriculum reviews topics pertinent to CICU APP practice\, including congenital cardiac defects\, cardiac physiology\, pre- and postoperative management\, medications\, heart failure/transplant\, and mechanical cardiac support\, and other topics pertinent to CICU APP practice. A rigorous exam has been developed to evaluate learners’ knowledge of the curriculum content. PCICS partnered with the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board to train volunteer item writers who wrote items for this assessment using item writing best practices. Achieving a passing score on this exam will reflect a high level of knowledge of pediatric cardiac intensive care content. \nThe exam will be open from August 3\, 2026 to October 5\, 2026. 75% is required to pass the examination. Prior to taking the exam you should study the PCICS APP Curriculum Book. After passing the exam\, there is an option to obtain CME credit\, up to 20 hours\, for your study and preparation time.
