interior-hero

We’re thrilled to announce the relaunch of the Respiratory Therapy Special Interest Group (RT SIG) within the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society (PCICS). This group is dedicated to bringing together passionate respiratory therapists from across the country to collaborate, innovate, and elevate our practices in the field of pediatric cardiac critical care.

Our mission is simple:

  • Education: Develop and share evidence-based resources and educational tools to elevate RT’s expertise and involvement at the bedside.
  • Research: Foster collaboration on cutting-edge research projects that address the unique challenges in respiratory care for pediatric cardiac patients.
  • Resources: Provide a platform for sharing tools, strategies, and expertise to empower respiratory therapists in their daily work.

This is an incredible opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals, drive meaningful change, and make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. Whether you’re a seasoned therapist or new to the field, your voice and expertise are essential to shaping the future of our discipline.

Interested in joining or learning more? Are you a physician and know an enthusiastic RT who would be interested in joining?  The first step is to sign up for a PCICS membership. Once you are a member, you will have access to the RT SIG page. We are just starting to renovate the Respiratory Care SIG page on BaseCamp, but soon we hope to start posting educational resources and looking for topics to discuss. We want to hear from you!

Let’s make a difference together,

The RT SIG Leadership Team
