Finance Committee
The PCICS Finance Committee continues to work diligently to support the finances, budget, and fiscal operations of the society. We are thrilled to be supporting the budget for the upcoming PCICS 2024 Annual Meeting in San Diego. The conference, in an exciting new location, promises to be filled with educational and networking opportunities. We are grateful for the institutional and industry sponsorship that has been established for the meeting. This support is pivotal to the success of our annual conference, and we encourage you to meet our generous industry and institutional partners at their booths at this year’s meeting. We encourage everyone to get registered!
The Finance Committee is committed to assuring that the society is optimally invested to ensure our ongoing financial stability and ability to support for our growing needs. For that reason, we have solicited a Request for Proposal (RFP) from multiple investment service providers. This fall, we plan to review our current strategy with our UBS advisor, review submitted proposals and determine the best strategy for future financial health. We are currently working on creating the budget for 2025.
This year we welcomed Dr. Laura Miller-Smith to help co-chair the committee alongside PCICS treasurer Dr. David Werho. Additionally, Dr. LaTasha Lewis joined the Finance Committee as our first DEI Liaison. Committee membership continues to be an excellent opportunity to understand the business operations of PCICS and contribute meaningful work back to the society. If interested in membership, please send a letter of interest to Lee Charak with the subject heading: PCICS Finance.
We look forward to seeing you in San Diego!
