The call for Abstracts for the PCICS Annual Meeting is open and this year we’ve added an option for abstracts specific to Quality Improvement. Please consider submitting an abstract about QI work at your institution. Deadline is July 15th.

Check out the PCICS Quality Improvement Podcasts, a sub-series of the current PCICS Podcast. The second podcast of the series, Quality Improvement: Collaboration & Leadership was released on May 1st. Panelists Josh Koch, Melissa Winder, and Kimberly DiMaria discuss how to build collaborative teams, lead QI projects, and participate in multicenter QI work.

Interested in learning more about QI implementation, methodology, and data? Consider registering for the first Quality Improvement Leadership Training (QILT) Course offered as a pre-conference session at the PCICS Annual Meeting.

Are you doing QI work at your institution and interested in seeing how others have implemented protocols about feeding, sedation, post-operative management, and more? The Protocol Warehouse on the PCICS website has multiple examples of protocols on a variety of topics from other PCICS member institutions. It can be found under the News & Resources tab on the website.

We will be looking for additional committee members later this year. Please reach out to Greg Yurasek or Kim DiMaria if you’re interested.
