PCICS, in collaboration with the University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing, is now offering the PCICS Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Curriculum Course virtually.
Designed to standardize the education of advanced practice providers working in pediatric cardiac intensive/acute care unite, the PCICS APP Curriculum Course will provide a comprehensive review of the didactic content of the PCICS APP Curriculum and will include topics such as:
- Anatomy, physiology, and management of congenital heart disease lesions
- Post-operative complications
- Heart failure
- Mechanical circulatory support
- Heart transplantation
- EKG interpretation and arrhythmia management
- Mechanical ventilation
Case scenarios and simulation will be facilitated to apply the course content to the management of patients.
