The PCICS QI Committee brings you the second installation of a new webinar series dedicated to enhancing the quality and effectiveness of care for critically ill pediatric cardiac patients. This virtual platform will foster collaborative learning, discussion, and networking through an expert panel and moderated Q&A session. We hope to offer the opportunity for presenters and audience members to connect with one another and share protocols/processes.
Objectives:
- Leverage QI methodology to implement measures to prevent iatrogenic withdrawal (IAWS) and enact early mobilization (EM) practices
- Examine key quality improvement techniques to implement IAWS and EM algorithms
- Discuss experiences in weaning algorithms and early mobilization practices at variably sized and resourced institutions
- Uncover and discuss how to minimize barriers to successful implementation of such practices
- Assess key quality indicators of successful implementation of IAWS and EM practices
