PCICS is excited to have opened registration for the 16th Annual International meeting, to be held on December 9-11, 2020.  We encourage your participation in our premier all-virtual conference. Though the transition to a virtual format was necessary, we are thrilled for the novel opportunities this conference has enabled, including broader access to a worldwide audience (and speakers!), and a session within a 3-D virtual reality. In addition, we have reimagined networking and interpersonal connections, to better reflect our diverse, international society. Furthermore, even after the scheduled last day, registrants will have ongoing access to the recorded content for weeks after the meeting.  Our esteemed invited faculty will provide lectures and engage in live panel discussions to share knowledge, science, and experience in order to improve the quality of care for our patients and their families across all domains.  The meeting program includes:

Plenary Sessions:

  • Challenging CICU Dogma
  • The CICU Isn’t Run By Robots:  Understanding our Humanness
  • Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
  • The COVID-19 Experience:  Necessity is the Mother of Innovation

Numerous breakout sessions including joint sessions developed and moderated with PAC3, the Neonatal Heart Society, and the Congenital Cardiac Anesthesia Society

Networking chat rooms, including the opportunity to meet the co-chairs of the PCICS committees, and interact with other leaders from across the field in order to grow the next generation of leaders.

We will also have numerous original abstracts, presented as oral or poster presentations, and will highlight the scientific and quality improvement innovations of the pediatric cardiac critical care community. There will also be a chance to interact with the speakers and authors throughout the meeting with live panels and social media interaction. Finally, the last day of the conference includes sessions specifically geared to fellows, junior faculty and nurses.

We expect the quality and excitement of our virtual meeting to match any of our in-person meetings. Please join us in December to share in the meeting!
