QI Committee
The QI Committee is excited to be offering the Quality Improvement Leadership and Think Tank (QILT2) project as a preconference prior to the November meeting in San Diego. This effort is designed to help society members who have a QI project in mind but are either new to the science of QI or work in institutions with limited or no support for QI. The project itself is divided into a series of interactive sessions presented as a workshop followed by ongoing support of select projects by committee members. The overall goal is to see these projects through design, study, data completion and publication. Registration is now open – we look forward to seeing you there!
The next PCICS QI Podcast hosted by members of the Education Subcommittee will air later this month. Look for details in the next PCICS newsletter or at Member Resources – The Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society (pcics.org).
Next month we will announce our call for new committee members! We continue to look for individuals from any discipline to join our growing group. Extensive QI experience is not necessary – only in interest in working collaboratively to further the pursuit of QI science, exposure and research within PCICS. Please consider applying!
Last, the QI Committee was honored to review the impressive list of QI abstracts submitted for the November meeting – this year featured the most abstracts ever submitted to the annual meeting and the quality, diversity and creativity of the submissions were remarkable! We look forward to showcasing everyone’s incredible work at the annual meeting, including 6 that were selected as top abstracts and another 7 as moderated posters. Congratulations to all who worked on the 130 accepted abstracts!
