First International Chapter of PCICS in Latin America

The Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society (PCICS) aims to empower a diverse global community of pediatric cardiac critical care clinicians dedicated to improving the lives of patients and their families. We are dedicated to ensuring that our membership represents a truly global community of pediatric cardiac critical care clinicians, and we strive to recognize the diverse educational and clinical practice needs worldwide.

The 28th Brazilian Congress of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery will be taking place from October 16-19th in the city of Gramado, RS – Brazil, and the meeting is set to host the inauguration of the first international chapter of PCICS in Latin America!!!

In conjunction with the Congress, PCICS will host a pre-Congress Symposium focusing on the intensive care of congenital heart diseases. Additionally, the society will play a key role in organizing the Multidisciplinary Symposium, which features lectures by distinguished international professionals to share the latest developments in pediatric cardiac intensive care and is intended to be of interest to all disciplines, especially nursing.

This endeavor further solidifies the Society’s commitment to addressing specific regional needs and providing accessible resources for its members. This significant advancement signifies a major stride in the field of pediatric cardiac intensive care in Latin America.
Organized by renowned professionals in Brazilian Pediatric Cardiology, in collaboration with PCICS and both national and international partners, the Congress promises days filled with valuable knowledge and networking opportunities.

The overarching objective is to bring together multidisciplinary professionals from various parts of the world, to inspire and connect with dedicated professionals who care for children with congenital heart diseases and offer a unique opportunity to learn, share knowledge, and promote significant advancements in Latin American countries.
As the PCICS journey expands internationally into Latin America, it serves as a pivotal moment, fostering international collaboration and propelling the field of pediatric cardiac intensive care to new heights.
